Symmetria was founded in 2006 in Finland and financed by its founders. Our customers comprise multi-national network operators, electronic manufacturers and media & communication corporations.
In 2012 Symmetria has widen its offering to SME-sector, that appraise customized solutions with rapid and cost-effective delivery.

Jouni Salmi, CEO and Partner
Jouni brings over 10+ years of solid growth management and technical leads experience in the international ICT and e-commerce industry. Jouni’s background is from Nokia and Openbit, and currently he is also a Partner and a Member of the Board of Joikusoft. Jouni’s core expertise is in the field of e-commerce services and business development in the highly demanding environment of the enterprise level customers.
Juha Toivanen, Account Director and Business development
Juha has worked 7+ years in ICT industry and especially in e-Commerce and software business sectors. Juha’s background includes ICT consultation, sales and business opportunities development in those fields. Juha also takes care of some of the Symmetria’s biggest clients and helps them to plan their future e-business needs and run daily operations with help of Symmetria’s development and support team.
Heino Lindström, Project Manager
Heino is a professional in development and maintenance. Committed to filtering the essence of features and user interfaces — that is the origin of quality work for Heino, whose background is in programming. Meaningful and background-noiseless processes are key factors in his idea of first-class software development. A firm believer in ongoing interaction and requirement revision, Heino trusts agile methods to keep customers and developers satisfied in each phase of the project.
Mikko Viskari, Project Manager
Mikko has 10 years of web development background and strong skills in designing architectures. He also has an eye for user interfaces. As a Project Manager and Product Development team leader Mikko is always bringing his own experience to the projects. He motivates his team members to achieve results they can be proud of. Mikko believes that agile methods combined with the right tools are one of the key success factors in today’s Software Development along with close customer interaction.
Sami Ahola, Art Director
Sami has over 8 years of work experience with visual and UI design of various e-Stores and service portals. Sami has been involved with Symmetria’s every major project as a concept and art designer or as a supervisor for the layout execution. Besides his family, he spends his free time doing digital painting and game design.

Board memebers brings over 50 years experience in the software industry to Symmetria, with international track record in companies such as Nokia and IBM.
Timo Saraketo, Chairman of the Board and Partner
Timo has 15 years of experience in management level positions around the world in big multinational corporations such as IBM and Nokia. Timo runs his own investment company that invests in IT start-ups with potential for rapid international growth.
Tom Ojala, Member of Board, Partner and Marketing Advisor
Tom is the CEO, Chairman of the Board and Founder of Joikusoft Ltd. since 2007. Prior to his career as an entrepreneur Tom worked 10 years for Nokia, where his latest position was in Dallas, USA, in capacity of Director, Marketing. In addition to Joikusoft Tom holds multiple positions and roles in i-Startups including Member of the Board, Partner, previous CEO and current Marketing Advisor in Symmetria Software, Member of the Board and Partner in Asio-Data Oy, Founder, Chairman and CEO in Asio-Systems Oy, and Partner and Advisory Board Member in NearMe Services Oy.
Jari Kiuru, Member of Board and Partner
Jari is a founder of Symmetria and Soft-Invest. Jari has been at IT & telecom business since 1990. He has gained substantial experience in smartphone and SW platform strategies while working at Nokia as a program manager for Nokia 9000 communicator and later as a director of Symbian Platform. Other companies in Jari’s career are Ericsson, Digia and PacketVideo (after acquiring part of Openbit).
